P!NK Impact Afterparty @ Gateway Church

Last week was the Ladies' Pink Impact Conference at Gateway Church in Southlake, and I was asked to shoot the afterparty on Thursday night. The team there did an extraordinary job- it looked like a wedding reception. There were fingerfoods, cupcakes by Delicious Cakes, coffees, giveaways, and beautiful decorations. :-) All you ladies were so gorgeous!

Leslie & Chase Engagement

Sunday afternoon Brian and I met up with this couple in the Stockyard area of Fort Worth to shoot their engagement pictures. Because it was spring break for so many schools, the area was packed with a strange mix of tourists and hard-core bikers. But we were able to find some out-of-the-way spots that made for some great shots. The hotel off Main Street was nice enough to let us shoot some in there as well.
Leslie and Chase are such a cute couple. Leslie is a real beauty and Chase kept us laughing through the whole shoot. It was so much fun- thanks for letting us shoot with you, you two!

Zoo + telephoto lens = super fun day!

Saturday Brian, Audrey and I went to the Ft Worth zoo. I felt like a little kid again. The monkeys are always the most entertaining. One young orangutan was showing off for the crowd, swinging from the ropes, when he lost his grasp and landed square on his back. Embarrassed, he jumped to his feet and looked around to see who was watching. I guess even animals go through that awkward stage. :-)

Wendi & Jose Wedding - Denton, TX

Wendi and Jose were married at the charming Wildwood Inn of Denton. It is an Old-World feeling b&b. It was the perfect setting- like their personality, it was unique, warm and inviting, and of course absolutely beautiful!
Because I had only met Wendi, it was wonderful to see them interacting together- they hardly left one another's side. They decided to see each other before the ceremony (which btw I would recommend to you brides who are now planning your weddings.) It relaxed them both, allowed them to say the things they really wanted to say without everyone starring them down, and permitted us to take some really fabulous pictures with great light!
The ceremony was really neat. Jose is from Honduras, and Wendi is fluent in Spanish, so their vows were spoken in both English and Spanish!
Thank you, Wendi and Jose, for letting me be a part of your day.
