How to Make a Pendant Banner

A few weeks ago I had a belly session with a camping/outdoorsy theme. I felt really ambitious and decided to create a somewhat elaborate set, including a make-shift (and uber girly) tent  and a pendant banner. Here is a shot from the session:

It turned out that the pendant banner was really east to make, so I thought I would share a little "how to" with you...

Liberty Redhawk Cheer Banquet

At the end of the (cheerleading) year these ladies and their families get together for an evening of dinner, awards, reminiscing, and rapping (yes, rapping- as in dropping a beat and each one of them takes turns rhyming.) :-) There were tears and cheers, and everyone seemed to have so much fun at the Stonebridge Country Club. Here are a few shots from the evening...

P!NK Impact Afterparty @ Gateway Church

Last week was the Ladies' Pink Impact Conference at Gateway Church in Southlake, and I was asked to shoot the afterparty on Thursday night. The team there did an extraordinary job- it looked like a wedding reception. There were fingerfoods, cupcakes by Delicious Cakes, coffees, giveaways, and beautiful decorations. :-) All you ladies were so gorgeous!

Highland Springs Party @ Southfork Ranch

Saturday night was the annual Highland Springs Retirement Community work party. It took place at the famous South Fork Ranch, home of the old TV show "Dallas".
Random fact#1: the show was only filmed outside the mansion, never inside. Random fact#2: the olympic sized pool on the show was really 1/3 the size- they used mirrors and camera tricks to make it look bigger.
Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves at the party. Brian and I had a lot of fun shooting- especially when everyone was out on the dance floor!

Trent Shelton's "Welcome to the Good Life" Party

On Saturday night, Trent Shelton of the Indianapolis Colts and his lady, Danielle, of America's Next Top Model, threw a huge party in Funky Town. I was so excited when he asked me to photograph it (for one thing, ANTM is one of my absolute fav shows, and I was pumped to get to meet it's season 6 winner!) Dani is really nice, and of course absolutely gorgeous! Here are some of the shots- hope you enjoy!
