Bonnie & Jake Engagement

The best shoots are when the couple forgets I am even there and just play. Bonnie and Jake did just that- they had fun goofing around and let their true personalities show. I couldn't help but smile as a snapped away. What an awesome (and gorgeous) couple!

Ashley & Jason Engagement

A fun shoot in downtown Dallas. I love getting to see couples interact- even though there is always the similar connection of a boy and a girl being in love, the way each interacts is totally unique. What a beautiful thing to watch!
Ashley and Jason are a such a sweet couple and I had so much fun hanging out with them, thanks you two!

Tanner Modeling

Most of my shoots are brides or engagements, so I really have to switch gears when I photograph guys. It's a whole different ball game- no more popping out the hip or playing with layered skirts. :-)
It was really fun, though, and Tanner's a natural model, so my job was easy. He is getting his portfolio together for this summer, when he will be back from Texas Tech and can get some modeling work. Didn't he do a stellar job?

Laura & Randall Wedding - Houston

I have so much blogging to catch up on! I have shot so many bridals that I cannot post just yet, but I can't wait to share them. :-)
As for this wedding, my favorite part was watching them whirl around the dance floor. Laura and Randall had met dancing at Wild West, and while Laura had made it a strict policy not to hand out her number to guys she met there, there was something different about this one. The way he spoke to her and the way they instantly connected let her know that this was special. At the reception you could see it when they danced- at one point they did not even touch, their eyes stayed locked and they did not miss a beat as they two stepped around the other couples. It really made me want to start taking dance lessons. :-)

Erin & Ryan Engagement

I love it when couples have requests for shots or poses, especially when it has to do with recreating something from art history! Erin is an art teacher and wanted to recreate the American Gothic painting, and I was only too happy to comply. They even bought a pitchfork to make it official. :-) They did, however, have a hard time keeping a straight face- they are both such joyful people and laughed and giggled through most of the session. I loved capturing that! Thanks you two, I can't wait until July 4th for your wedding!

Lainey & Cory Engagement

This couple drove all the way up to Fort Worth from San Marcos for an engagement session. We had fun wandering around downtown and finding places to shoot. Thanks for shooting with me, you two!
