Kasey & Alistair - Southlake, TX

The bridal room was a flurry of activity with bridesmaids adding the last touches of makeup, flowergirls twirling in their dresses, and family filing in and out to say hello. Kasey sat in a wooden chair near the window, sipping on a glass of water through a straw and taking an occasional peek through the blinds to see if guests were yet arriving. Some family members had parked themselves on an overstuffed couch and explained teasingly that they were there to make sure she did not become the "Runaway Bride". Kasey glanced their way as she reapplied lipstick "You couldn't get me out of this relationship with dynamite."
The way that the relationship began so many years ago would be different, depending on if you asked Kasey or Alistair. But how they feel now is the same- devoted to serve each other in love and always placing the other before themselves. They are totally, utterly in love and I am blessed to have been a part of their day! Congratulations, you two! I hope you enjoyed Maui!

I am including this picture for multiple reasons. It's humorous, but it also reminds me of the importance of capturing everyone at the wedding. This gentleman (Kasey's grandfather) and his wife passed away only a week after the wedding. If you are a wedding photographer, or even a bride, it is so important to shoot all family present at the event! Sometimes the quiet moments get lost, and it is our job to make sure they don't.
